Pratts & Pain
By Royel Otis
This album has me hooked, which is a refreshing as it’s been a while since a new artist grabbed my attention like this. Every track is a standout, and I could easily have it on repeat all day.
"Foam" immediately became a personal favorite with its groovy, crisp sound—think Tame Impala vibes. The choruses are simple yet so distinct and infectious. Another highlight is "Headed for the Door," which showcases the kind of catchy lyrics that would get any crowd singing along. Same goes for "Daisy Chain"—even if the words aren’t what you think they are, it doesn’t take away from how beautiful it sounds.
The extended versions have only elevated the experience, with new songs that are absolute fire. "Till the Morning" is an emotional banger that gives you that feeling as if you’ve known it forever. I missed their live show due to my recently ruptured Achilles, but I will definitely be at their next one. It’s great to see another Australian band making waves.
